Longshot: Is there a free linux supersaw capable vst/clap plugin that is compatible with glibc 2.31 and goes easy on the cpu?

I am currently confined to a 14 year old i5 and cannot upgrade the distro right now.

Already thrown out:

  • glibc > 2.31: nakts (integrate, extrabold, ...)
  • too cpu hungry: vital, ostirus, je8086
  • windows/mac only: CFA Super7, TAZ Sawbox

Open source doesn't mean developers don't need funding—it just means they're using a different business model, like Ardour.

Consider donating to your favorite projects to help keep them alive. Here are some suggestions:

  • Ardour
  • Linux Studio Plugins
  • Qtractor
  • Zrythm
  • Airwindows
  • FalkTX's projects
  • Surge Synth Team
  • Brummer10 (Hermann)
  • Giada
  • LiquidSFZ
  • Linux Sampler
  • Socalabs
  • Geonkick
  • Element

The once-great #LABS virtual instrument has been fully #enshittified, having been rolled up into some platform abomination called Splice. LABS was fairly easy - ok, extremely hard for most - to run under #linux, but it was possible. Splice will not. RIP my favourite "free" instrument. #VST
