More Texas news: three mothers of varying religious beliefs are trying one of the latest legal strategies against the right, that is, to use their own laws against them. Last year the Texas state legislature gave posters of the ten commandments to public schools and demanded they display them in classrooms (yes, really). Residents have been battling the law in court since then- the article provides more details. Now they're suing under Texas religious freedom and "parent's rights" laws that were, let's just say, not created with this purpose in mind. Paging @MaryAustinBooks@mstdn.social cause this seems like the kind of thing she'd find interesting. https://feeds.texastribune.org/link/16799/17398220/texas-ten-commandments-lawsuit-houston-parental-rights #USpol #TXpol

Sawyer Hackett: "For the past 6 elections, Ken Paxton (who is running for the Senate) has committed voter fraud in Texas. For more than two years, Paxton has been registered to vote at an address where he doesn’t live — while leading the fake crusade against voter fraud."
