#startrek #tng Bevor "Raumschiff Enterprise: Das nächste Jahrhundert" im ZDF in Deutschland ausgestrahlt wurde, gab es die ersten 14 Folgen der ersten Staffel in den Videotheken auf VHS zu leihen. Damals dachte ich, das wäre ein Special zum 20-jährigen Jubiläum gewesen. Dass das eine neue TV-Serie ist, erfuhr ich erst viel später. Das Kuriosum: Diese 14 Folgen wurden anders synchronisiert. Mit anderen deutschen Synchronstimmen und teils auch anderen Dialogen. Hier ist ein YT-Video, welches das veranschaulicht. Gleich ganz besonders auffällig ist, dass der Anfangs-Monolog von Märchenonkel-Legende Hans Paetsch gesprochen wird und nicht, wie üblich, von der Stimme des Captains (auf Deutsch oder Englisch). #TNG S01E25, "Conspiracy". Alien parasites have taken over the bodies of key admirals in Starfleet for nefarious purposes--an operation which continues more-or-less unhindered for the next five centuries. This episode is a fucking banger. Camp scale off the charts. Almost unrecognizable as TNG.

#TNG S01E26, "The Neutral Zone". The D'deridex class is mother. There's an A and B plot too, I guess.

#TNG S02E01, "The Child". The USS Enterprise and Commander Riker's face are resurfaced at Utopia Planitia shipyards, with varying results. Sometimes a family is a single mom and a radioactive parasite. Sometimes a family is three dads and a fresh-faced acting ensign.

Darlings, dinner tonight was quite the experience! They served these charming little wiggly worms they call gagh. Most outworlders apparently turn quite pale, but I find their spirited, ticklish dance on the tongue absolutely delightful!
