Clipping - The Deep
This one is my baby for this list today. IIRC this piece was insipired by a Sun Ra concept album imagining a world in which some of the thousands of unborn (and sometimes born) children of enslaved mothers thrown overboard by European slavers adapted to an undersea environment and build a technologically advanced society separate from the "two legs" on land. In this Clipping piece I recommend listening to Daveed Diggs' untouchable flow and the structure of the song. Also the end when the undersea culture decides it has had enough of us.
