This totally self-managed project that has been going on for 12 years, which has no funding, which lives on the daily work of those who resist here and the temporary support of volunteer people, cannot and should not end.

At the top end of the #sanctuary we have a right of way along a neighbouring field to the road that runs through the local village. We walk our youngest to school this way.
The field was sprayed a number of weeks back to ‘prepare’ the ground for ploughing, harrowing etc.

Tiritiri Matangi conclut un périple comme une promesse tenue
À la toute fin d’un voyage riche de mille paysages et de mille rencontres, il est des escales qui n’effacent rien, mais qui révèlent tout. Sur l’île Tiritiri Matangi, sanctuaire insulaire aux confins du golfe de Hauraki, c’est l’émerveillement pour Flavien.
