TL;DR: Between May 2025 and May 2026, Waymo’s recall-scope count of autonomous cabs rose from 1,212 vehicles to 3,791 vehicles. That is more than a 3x increase in the Waymo fleet size in roughly one year, a major acceleration that dwarfs Tesla's faltering Robotaxi rollout.

@jon_bon@toot.cat En framtidsutopi som nu verkar komma på skam är självkörande bilar i allmän regi. Dessa skulle kunna införlivas i kollektivtrafiken med ordentliga subventioner och därmed ersätta väldigt många privatägda bilar. Istället dominerar nu Waymo marknaden. Ett företag ägt av Alphabet/Google. En sådan sätter jag mig aldrig i. #robotaxi #övervakningskapitalism #kollektivtrafik
