But I wanted in on Mastodon, and "Spin up your own server" felt easier than figuring out which one to join Goal is empathy, posts are typically about daily life and home / car / computer repairs and events I guess? Instance admin. Not a professional sysadmin like some here; fuck me, I'm not even a *good* sysadmin. But if I'm going to have a tinpot dictator with nonsensical rules in charge, I figure it outta be one I can at least agree with. I post rarely, but I'm trying to up the frequency. Typical topics are transit, tech, and whichever show or book I'm partway through. Posts are likely to be profanity-laden - not out of hate, I'm just pretty darn evangelical about some of my favourite projects.
