"#Poverty in our wealthy society should not only be regarded as a monstrous #socialinjustice. It also poses a threat to all workers and should be challenged by the entire #labour movement. As #publicservices and the workers who deliver them come under attack and as employers look to impose the burden of the present trade crisis on workers and communities, we must understand poverty and #homelessness in this context." https://canadiandimension.com/articles/view/the-war-on-the-poor-is-escalating #cdnpoli #CapitalismKills #inequality

Research in the British Medical Journal shows that diverting NHS funds to pay for it would result in more than 200,000 avoidable patient deaths by 2036. "One pound in every £11 of UK government spending on contractors went to private equity-controlled companies last year, research shows, including key services such as transport, waste management and healthcare" Nationalisation would rid key public services of these ghouls. It would also be of interest to track their political donations. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2026/jun/28/1-in-every-11-spent-uk-public-contractors-private-equity #PrivateEquity #PublicServices #UKPolitics
