#threeGoodThings 1) Attended a conference and delivered my roundtable yesterday, and had fun overall. 2) managed to finally close the loop on a new database I have been working on acquiring for our campus (for over a month) from home yesterday morning. 3) Feeling more optimistic about the upcoming semester after reconnecting with some of my classmates at the conference #PhDLife A photo from the conference yesterday is below.

PhD supervisors, please be more specific when you make comments. "Rephrase" is not acceptable. 1. I sent my writing in for review, it is the best I could do and I think it's pretty good already, so do you want me to make it worse? 2. What do you mean: do you want me to add something, remove something? Address something? I am feeling really frustrated at this point - I have been stuck on this section for about two weeks and it is putting my finishing date in danger. I have spent days trying to work out what he means.... #PhDLife

I sent my final personal draft of my thesis to my supervisor, now it's a team effort. All diagrams done, the narrative is good. I am happy! Going for a ride on the scooter, the skies have cleared and I want to get out after days of rain #PhDLife

Good morning, it is Monday and another week starts

The rain has cleared and there are blue skies. I had a really good rest on the weekend and my head feels clear. Meetings in morning and later have marking and thesis work in the afternoon. I really don't like meetings! #PhDLife
