I see everyone looking for VPN services to move to, after yet another for-profit leadership turns out to be fascist*.
Meanwhile, actors in the cyberdomain, as well as AI grifters, have figured out how to do this: operational relay box networks or ORBs.
Basically, VPN-by-botnet.
This gave me an idea.
Instead of spending money on another VPN company, I’d rather spend money on voluntarily adding nodes to a have a federated anonymising VPN.
Yes, obviously I mean spending my money to set up TOR nodes. Duh!
So, does anyone know of a non-profit I could donate money to, to have them spin up and maintain Tor nodes?
*) capitalism is a gateway drug to fascism, and techbros are especially vulnerable.
