Construction delayed on $350M deepsea port in Qikiqtarjuaq, Nunavut The port, which would be located near the entrance to the Northwest Passage, would service ships carrying supplies, as well as tourism and fishing vessels. This Taloyoak, Nunavut, woman has spent 2 decades waiting for housing and is losing hope For the past two decades, Karen Nanook has shared a bedroom with her adult daughter inside her elderly parents’ home in Taloyoak, Nunavut. Most of our flowering plants colonized the north Baffin after the last ice age. As the ice retreated the plants followed it north. But three of our flowers survived the ice age here and reestablished populations. They are Vaux’s Cinquefoil, Pallas Wallflower, and this beauty, Silvery Oxytrope. One of the best places to find it is at our cabin. #Nunavut #CabinLife #Wildflowers
