#mastodoncloud

We noticed today that @shlee@aus.social has taken over Mastodon.Cloud. We'd love to have a conversation abt the plan, how the spam, abuse, and trolling will be addressed. A good ending story would be amaze. Are u open for a conversation / chat, Shlee? #FediMod #FediModerator #FediAdmin #MastodonCloud

We mentioned the closure of Mastodon.cloud yesterday. We've looked into it a little bit more and uhm... they've been looking for someone to take over? It may be too late, but if u are okay spending "about $800" a month on what we would consider a def rehab project... maybe ask? Or maybe we could all get together and clean it up? #FediAdmins #FediMods #FediModerator #MastodonCloud #Mastodon https://mstdn.jp/@Sujiyan/116877225547993287

Fedi admins, you may want to defederate mastodon.cloud There's a scammer registered on mastodon.cloud who is currently spamming people all over the Fediverse (https://digipres.club/@timixretroplays/116400799417215833) Mastodon.cloud seems to be an unmoderated instance with open registration. It hasn't responded to multiple previous abuse reports (https://social.growyourown.services/@FediTips/115027459008099476) The admin of mastodon.cloud hasn't posted since February 2023 and its server software is very out of date. #FediBlock #FediAdmin #MastodonCloud

⚠️ Do not move your account to mastodon.cloud. If you know someone already on mastodon.cloud you might want to suggest they move to a different server. -Mastodon.cloud's admin hasn't posted since Feb 2023 -There doesn't seem to be any moderation, really awful bigotry is still there months after being reported -The server software is very outdated and full of unpatched security holes -Because of all the above, many other servers have defederated mastodon.cloud #MastodonCloud #FediBlock
