I can sometimes obsess over the tiniest details, because attention to detail matters. My most recent example: Loops DMs don't need to render the mentions in the message bubble. It just looks better without them. They do provide important context sometimes, so they are available when you need them, with a tooltip popover. Loops Admins: Did you know you can easily configure database backups that get stored to a separate S3 compatible disk as private zips with optional archive passwords that also get purged so you only keep the most X recent backups, with the limit being up to you?

All you need to do is configure the S3 credentials, and set LOOPS_BACKUPS_ENABLED=true in .env.

We redesigned profile headers to better use the available space and show more of the video grid. You may also notice the new Message button, we now have Direct Messages! To prevent spam, you will only see messages from mutuals, the rest will be in the Requests tab. #Loops #LoopsDev #DirectMessages

Loops does require S3 for avatar and media storage, but I am working to remove that limitation, and allow for local media storage, without breaking existing S3 instances! #Loops #LoopsDev

I decided to remove the server domain from Loops Push Notification titles. I think it's cleaner and less confusing. Btw, Loops notifications support deep-linking, so when you tap on them, it will take you to the appropriate screen. If you get a new follower notification, it will take you to their profile, but if you're going viral, we may bundle multiple notifications into one and instead take you to the New Follower Notifications screen. #Loops #LoopsDev #LoopsApp
