Tra i concorrenti che si sono esibiti ieri sera, 17 settembre, alle Audition di X Factor 2026, in onda su Sky e in streaming su Now, c’era anche Patrizia Napolano. La sua storia ha colpito i giudici Jake La Furia, Irama, Paola Iezzi e Francesco Gabbani.
“Sono qui per dimostrare a papà che posso farcela. – ha detto Patrizia poco prima di salire sul palco – Mio padre fa il commerciante al mercato ittico di Mugnano di Napoli. Apprezzo tantissimo i sacrifici che fa, il suo lavoro gli fa fare degli orari massacranti per un essere umano. Lui dice che tutti i talent sono sciocchezze, ci vanno i raccomandati, le solite cose che potrà essere vero, però dammi la facoltà di poter provare. E poi giudichi… Sono una ragazza che prova a inseguire i suoi sogni”.
Una volta arrivata sul palco la cantante ha rivelato davanti ai giudici: “Sono con mia mamma e mia sorella, purtroppo papà sta a casa. Mia mamma e mia sorella mi sostengono mentre mio padre Non mi sostiene”.
Dietro le quinte Giorgia ha chiesto alla madre: “È vera questa cosa del papà che non è d’accordissimo?”. E la risposta è stata: “Vabbè perché ci tiene più allo studio”.
Poi ha ribadito: “Mio padre mi ha detto ‘ma che ci andiamo a fare, tanto non vieni ‘pigliata’, non ha senso…‘. Lo dice perché perché non crede nei talent, non crede in questo mondo, ha paura di questo mondo. Ultimamente però crede in me perché glielo sto dimostrando di più che ci tengo”.
Poi Patrizia si è lanciata nella cover di “Bang Bang” di Ariana Grande, Jessie J e Nicki Minaj del 2014, un brano difficilissimo che però ha dimostrato di gestire con grande maestria, tanto da aver strappato non solo i quattro sì dei giudici, ma anche la standing ovation di tutto il pubblico. Jake La Furia ha però fatto un invito al padre della cantante: “La prossima volta che tua figlia torna sul palco, sarai qui”.

Among the contestants who performed yesterday evening, September 17th, at the X Factor 2026 Auditions, broadcast on Sky and streaming on Now, was Patrizia Napolano. Her story struck the judges Jake La Furia, Irama, Paola Iezzi and Francesco Gabbani.
“I’m here to show my father that I can do it,” said Patrizia shortly before stepping onto the stage – “My father is a merchant at the fish market of Mugnano di Napoli. I really appreciate the sacrifices he makes; his job forces him to work grueling hours for a human being. He says all talent shows are nonsense, they go to people with connections, the usual things that may be true, but give me the chance to try. And then you judge… I’m a girl trying to pursue her dreams.”
Once she arrived on stage, the singer revealed to the judges: “I’m here with my mom and my sister, unfortunately my father is at home. My mom and my sister support me while my father doesn't.”
Behind the scenes, Giorgia asked her mother: “Is it true that your father isn’t very enthusiastic about this?” And the response was: “Well, because he cares more about his studies.”
Then she reiterated: “My father told me ‘what are we going to do, you’re not going to be ‘picked’, it doesn’t make sense…’.” He says that because he doesn't believe in talent shows, he doesn't believe in this world; he’s afraid of this world. Lately though, he believes in me because I’m proving it to him more than I care about it.”
Then Patrizia launched into a cover of “Bang Bang” by Ariana Grande, Jessie J and Nicki Minaj from 2014, a very difficult song that she demonstrated managing with great mastery, to the point of earning not only the four yeses from the judges but also a standing ovation from the audience. Jake La Furia however invited the singer’s father: “The next time your daughter comes back on stage, you'll be here.”
