It remains possible, albeit unlikely, that we will find an even worse #monsterdon to watch ere the year ends.

In the category of a Post Apocalyptic Movie spares the audience from a realistic depiction of the nuclear apocalypse I give #InTheYear2889 5 out of 5 stars. Too bad it barely depicted anything at all. Old guy prepper lectures a lot but seems to be singularly ineffective. None of the people seem to be taking their supposed peril all that seriously, even as one of them turns into a monster, and another turns out to be a murderer. You know what, I don't care either. Definitely a #Monsterdon to post about and not pay much attention to.

In the plantation bunker we hear thunder outside, and the rain is supposed to kill us all with radiation for some reason.
Outside, the mutant is carrying the daughter but drops her and then Elvis appears and shoots him, but it doesn't hurt him. The daughter walks into the water and announces that it is afraid of the water so they both go wading.

Back in the plantation, John asks the creepy guy threatening him with a gun to measure the rain water outside to see how radioactive it is, and he obeys for some reason. We learn that the rain water has no radioactivity and I guess that's why the mutant is afraid of water, and then it rains and I guess the mutant dies.
Then Mr Creeper announces that he will then kill Elvis and claim the one surviving girl for himself.

Mr Creeper is about to shoot Elvis but then John shoots him with his bonus gun first, so the real hero can be the Second Amendment.
Then the movie ends with a titlecard saying "The beginning" and showing Elvis and the Daughter holding hands. I think. I think that's what it was showing. Also I really hope that was the end of the movie.

I award #InTheYear2889 0 out of 5 brilliantly lit night time swimming pools.
The most you can say for it is that some stuff happened in it. The most you can say for the characters is that some of them sometimes approached being almost likeable. The monster threat was rather unthreatening.

The best character was... um... I dunno... the rabbit that one of the mutants ate I guess.
The worst character was John, who was supposed to be the hero/mentor figure I guess but his main hobby was urging the Elvis impersonator to murder. The other characters were also bad.
