Dang...just got a text from my apartment managers. We've been having our water that smells and tastes different for a few days now. Turns out there is an algae bloom that has impacted the water system for the entire city of Greeley, Colorado. And true to form, the city doesn't plan to discuss it for several days, but we're supposed to boil our drinking water for the time being. #Colorado #AlgaeBloom #Greeley #WaterSystem

My city's public transportation is definitely an afterthought. In order to connect with the nearby city or to get to the Denver metro area, both in the morning and the afternoon, there is a 3 hour dead time where the bus simply doesn't run. The alternative is an over $45 per way ride share/taxi to go 20 miles. Seems like they are doing everything possible to require vehicle usage for daily living. What about people like me, that can no longer drive and are on a fixed income? #PublicTransportation #Colorado #Greeley

I fear my city's transit system doesn't truly believe in public transit nor the citizens that use the system. They do not run any service on holidays. In this week's case, that is this Saturday. However, the holiday celebrations are held far away from much of us. And the no service press release framed it as "if you want essential transportation, make it elsewhere." Seems like they don't care or get that public transit is some people's (including my) only affordable transit method. Surely we should also have the option to enjoy festivities accessible by those with cars? #PublicTransit #Greeley #Colorado
