I know my city says the earthy/pond-like smell and taste of our water due to algae bloom recently is safe and aesthetic-only, but I hope they can fix it soon. My kitchen and bathroom smell like a swamp and the water taste is bad, even from my filtered refrigerator water. Makes me gag, if not worse, so I guess I'm sensitive to this.

Dang...just got a text from my apartment managers. We've been having our water that smells and tastes different for a few days now.
Turns out there is an algae bloom that has impacted the water system for the entire city of Greeley, Colorado. And true to form, the city doesn't plan to discuss it for several days, but we're supposed to boil our drinking water for the time being.
