I've played enough XCOM to know that that 80% is really about a 15% chance to hit... I would say Rebelstar: Tactical Command for the #GBA looks like an XCOM game, but it was developed by Julian Gollop of UFO: Enemy Unknown fame... So a direct line can be drawn between the two games. To be fair, Rebelstar itself is a series that dates back to 1984, so it would be fair to say that Rebelstar was the foundation for which XCOM was built. This feels like a game that is worth checking out. I've always been quite a sucker for strategy RPGs like this. #RetroGames

As I never had any og #GBA console, I don't know if the audio quality roughness comes from #emulation on modern hardware making the sound too clear or if it was already an actual thing.

Watch out, I'm about to just tank my credibility! #IshambardPresents Rescue Heroes: Billy Blazes #GBA Developer: WayForward No, wait! Come back! Hear me out, please! A game based off a Fisher Price toy line has absolutely no right being as enjoyable as this game is. It's all perspective, I would have anticipated this being bottom of the barrel shovelware, but the comments I saw around the game lured me in. Okay, Billy's jawline drew me in, the comments locked me in. A simple platformer, seeing Billy putting out fires, gathering tools to clear obstacles and "fulton extracting" people to safety. Rinse, repeat for 11 stages. It's a tidy gameplay loop that is presented well, and at times provides a level of challenge. One stage has you scaling a building as fire rises from the bottom of the screen, it's surprisingly intense. Is the game easy? Yes, but it is also quite cosy and that's fine. Not all games need to be deep, challenging, emotional, or any combination of those three.

Ich hätte jetzt eigentlich gedacht, dass das Remaster oder Remakes wären, aber das ist hundertpro einfach nur die emulierte Originalversion vom #GBA. Ist schon enttäuschend.
