The Red Ribbons campaign has called for global action on Palestinian Prisoners’ Day, marked annually on April 17, urging solidarity events and activities to take place between April 17 and 19 to increase visibility and international pressure regarding the issue of Palestinian detainees. Rights groups involved in the campaign reported that more than 9,600 Palestinians are currently held in Israeli prisons, including women, children, administrative detainees held without charge or trial, as well as prisoners who have died in custody. The campaign also reported 144 solidarity events in 19 countries and called for wider global participation. #FreePalHostages #Israel #Palestine #Gaza #Palestinian

Every year on April 17, Palestinians mark Prisoners' Day, a day dedicated to remembering thousands of Palestinians held in Israeli prisons, including many who are detained without charges or trial, and to renew calls for their release. The commemoration dates back to 1974, following the first prisoner exchange between the Palestinians and the Israeli occupation. Since then, the day has become a key occasion to remember their suffering. #FreePalHostages #Israel #Palestine #Gaza #Palestinian
