Four Chinese dissidents detained at the Suan Phlu Immigration Detention Center in Bangkok face possible deportation to China. UNHCR has recognized all four of them as refugees.
In recent years the Thai government has deported Chinese dissidents and others including 40 Uyghur men in February 2025
