hi, a quick #introduction 👋 I'm Toedel and I suffer from #MECfs which has left me completely house bound and on most days mostly bed bound as well. I'm an avid reader of #AudioBooks which leaves my hands free for making pretty things. #fiberarts #knitting #crochet #CrossStitch #embroidery

I just completed this amazing tapestry #crochet row, 195 stitches long…. In the wrong colours.

Certainly not perfect by any means, but it resembles a baby blanket, right? #crochet #HandmadeGifts #novice

There’s something very calming and soothing about a little corner of yarn and WIPs. I honestly always feel happy when I just look at these, let alone when I’m working on them. If you’ve ever been in a yarn shop, or even the yarn section of a bigger shop, you’ll understand. #knitting #crochet

Mother-in-law mosaic tapestry #crochet blanket quick update: While I’m very comfortable with the mosaic, the two colours in tapestry rows are slowing me down, only because I haven’t found a way that stops them from tangling when I switch colours, so I have to stop to untangle regularly. Onwards!

I think I'm getting more comfortable with crochet, although I still have no clue what I am doing. Finished breakfast, watching a video on youtube, waiting for the washing machine finishing and found myself reaching for the hook and yarn. While I have big ambitions of making a blanket, a shawl and all the other lovely things. I'm finding myself feeling contented just getting comfortable with the hook and yarn, taking the pressure off myself to be good at crochet. Oh how my mindset has changed from when I first had the idea of trying crochet for the eleventy thousandth time! #Crochet

Was in an online knit and natter group yesterday where I got to explain the concept of thr fediverse. People seemed fascinated by the idea. It'll be interesting to see if any of them decide to check it out. Are there any knitting/yarn/fibre arts related servers does anyone know? #AskFedi #knitting #crochet #FiberArts #FibreArts

Hello! I’m Bee and as my username suggests I love doing #crafts. I am also rather obsessed with #cats and am owned by 2 of the creatures myself. I mostly do #knitting #crochet #crossstitch and #embroidery but I also dabble in other crafts from time to time. I intend to post on this account about my craft projects and I hope to meet other like minded crafters! I may also post about #books from time to time, since #reading is another big hobby of mine. #introduction

I made this! I’ve moved on from cat beds to trying different #crochet stitches. This one is the jasmine stitch in a square, which makes a nice pot holder.

I feel like schools should do more to warn people about gateway crafts. I started doing some embroidery, it's not too expensive, it doesn't take up too much space. Then I got a second-hand sewing machine, pretty versatile and that should be me sorted right? NO! It is not enough! YouTube is aggressively pushing me knitting and crochet content. I was seriously considering getting a loom and learning to weave. A LOOM!! Be careful out there kids. Before you know it you might be spinning your own wool! #Crafting #MastodonCrafts #Sewing #Crochet #Knitting

Looking for yarn shops that focus on sustainability or are owned by/support LGBTQIA+ or Black/Asian/Indian/Pakistani groups etc. in the UK? Searches under LGBTQ are mostly being up pre-made items. My current favourite Knit With Attitude doesn't stock quite what I am looking for and I have an experimental crochet bombing project I want to complete. #AskFedi #Knitting #Crochet #FibreArts #UK

Despite feeling very tired today, me and the fatigue have managed to finish a task, crocheting a cover for disintegrating headphones. They should make it another few years without covering us in orange shreds any more. #ReduceRepairReuseRecycle #Crochet

I have just completed a granny square, following a video by Bella Coco. It is an absolute mess, I've got too many stitches in some places, not enough in others, the tension is a shambles. BUT, I can tell there is a pattern and it is a square. Now I won't feel quite so stupid when I go to create and chat next week. Perfectly normal that I would want to try and practice a granny square before someone teaches me how to do a granny square 😬 People often assume that since I am good with a needle and thread, can do bobbin lace and generally like crafty stuff, that crochet would be easy for me. Oh that is not so, crochet is a magic that I really need to push myself with. Now I can go get breakfast and ignore crochet for the rest of the day 😂 #Crochet

It is complete and survived the wash! I was worried about the tassels. This is my first time making them and it felt too easy. The harlequin pieces aren't as solid as I would like and were a nightmare to sew together and line up but it was worth it. #crochet #FiberArt #FanArt #HowlsMovingCastle

Awakening Woodland. Fresh spring light filters through a quiet beech woodland in this gentle fresh colourway. Soft leaf-greens, mossy speckles and hints of bark and bud create a refined, wearable palette, perfect for shawls, socks and cardigans that feel calm, uplifting and quietly luxurious for everyday joy.
