@mpiscaer@mastodon.social I did exactly that. Started in December 2025 with the paperwork for the AS and now have 6 Upstreams and over 100 direct peers with AS201379: https://bgp.tools/as/201379#connectivity
The overall costs for IPv6 are relatively managable (<50€/month in my case).
IPv4 is really expensive. I cheat with legacy-IP and have a /29 that one of my transit providers routes directly to my router VM.

My AS201379 / 2a06:9801:1c::/48 has some really solid European connectivity now.
Entirely powered by FreeBSD and FRRouting, no proprietary routers and no legacy-IP (formerly known as IPv4).
