Sweden is also choosing @forgejo@floss.social for their digitally sovereign government codeplatform, just like the Dutch code.overheid.nl 🥳🥳 https://github.com/diggsweden/ena-kodsamverkansplattform-poc This is a nice step towards less dependence on US big tech, aka Github. In my last days at the @BZKopensource@social.overheid.nl I hope to set up a working group with other EU governments, to work towards a federated network of codeplatforms 🇪🇺 #codeplatform #forgejo #ospo #digitalsovereignty #opensource #foss #govtech

RE: https://social.overheid.nl/@codeplatform/116930559753703237 Yesterday we had our second #Codeplatform community meet-up! 🚀 It's been three months since @BZKopensource@social.overheid.nl , @developer@social.overheid.nl and friends launched a gov-wide @forgejo@floss.social server to move away from Github/Gitlab. Our community added and prioritized issues to build a roadmap. We'll be funding + developing features around federation, accessibility and security that we will upstream. The top issue (gov-wide SSO) will be fixed next week 🔥 @bo@social.codefor.nl @johan@social.codefor.nl @tomootes@social.codefor.nl @marlenabcn@mastodon.social @manfredzielinski@mastodon.nl @DigitaleOverheid@social.overheid.nl

RE: https://social.overheid.nl/@DigitaleOverheid/116770750754434960 The Dutch government-wide codeplatform (code.overheid.nl) is one of the projects that has been awarded Innovation Budget!! 🥳🎉🍾 I'm super proud of this project. The #codeplatform is a nice example of using #opensource alternatives (Forgejo instead of Github) to make the gov more sovereign and collaborate better. This contribution allows us to further develop the codeplatform. This morning I got to meet with Dr. @maemst@swiss.social and @lsmith@mastodon.green from the Bern Uni of Applied Sciences, and tomorrow with members of the Swiss government, to discuss Swiss/Dutch collaboration in #opensource and #digitalsovereignty initiatives. 🇨🇭🇳🇱 We're all trying to solve the same challenges. E.g., it's been really interesting to discuss a particular #codeplatform problem, that the Swiss may have found a complementary solution to: https://codeberg.org/forgejo/discussions/issues/477 This is what EU collaboration looks like 🇪🇺
