I’m playing the new #civ7 on #ps5 and it is really different than the old civ7. They’ve done like No Man’s Sky: released a bit of a half-baked first version, and then made a lot of substantial and material improvements after release.
I was good at the first version. I’ve picked it up again after 9 months off and it’s totally a different experience.
Goals are calculated differently, scoring is different, some mind-breakingly bad UIs are now just really annoying. But I used to be able to win on the next-to-highest difficulty (maybe 2 out of 5 tries). Now I am struggling to win on any difficulty. Advisors and tutorial text is better, too.
Gonna go watch some tutorials or something.
