Now I just have to actually *do* the thing... 😁 ~ ~ ~ So I have unearthed a real challenge, and I'm hoping for help from the #fiberarts crowd... I started this #bobbinlace project in college, 30 years ago. It's been sitting in a dusty corner of my home office ever since - mostly because I don't know how to finish it! My "almost a square meter of bobbin lace" is soon to reach its end. Just gonna finish this board and then I need to tie off the loose ends. And after that hand-sewing to a cloth I have already weaved of the same thread (16/4 linen). In March this beauty will go to my exhibition in the Finnish Craft Museum. The pattern is from 18th century. The name is 'Cornucopia vine' (in Finnish Runsaudensarviköynnös), though that is given by some researcher.
