ICE sets checkpoint on DC area's Clara Barton Parkway
On the 22nd of July, ICE reportedly set up a checkpoint on Clara Barton Parkway. News sources claim three people were targetted and bailed out of their car to escape. Two captured by the Enemy, one successful escape.
This was supposedly a joint ICE and US Park Police operation, though one video showed mostly ICE SUVs some blocking the road and others driving recklessly including the wrong way on the freeway. Had anyone been hit, this could have been Murder #6 for ICE and Pol-ICE in just two weeks.
Neighbors set up a warning banner to warn motorists off entering the occupied highway.
Clara Barton Parkway is the normally beautiful parkway between McArthur Blve and Carderock. It is now too dangerous to use due to the Park Police/ICE collaboration that threatens every Park Service parkway in the DC area.
The hairpin turn at the East end of Clara Barton Parkway is apparently subjected to routine surveillance by ICE, and that may have been what created this mess.
AVOID THAT AREA if anyone vunerable is with you, especially in any vehicle resembling a work truck or especially a landscaping truck.
If you have citizenship, consider resisting "citizenship checks" as though you did not. The fire you draw will be diverted from migrants
