Today I downloaded a photo of a painting from the 1920s or 1930s (unclear which) from Instagram, who locked the account I literally just use to see shit that is only on Instagram.

The unlock link is… expired? never worked? and I can get through the whole "get me back into the account" flow right up to the end, when it announces my device is not recognized.

Every device I own.

No other way to inquire about it. The bot that was handing people accounts the other day is now useless.

Seeing The Baby Yoda Movie made me wonder what it was gonna take to watch The Mandalorian again someday, given I don't do the Disney+ sub anymore.

Turns out they actually put the thing on 4K Blu-rays. It looks like they're exclusive to 4K, which is extra interesting. Every other 4K Blu-ray I've bought has has a spare regular Blu-ray in the case too.

I wish they were at all consistent and made Muppets Mayhem Blu-rays too. Of any sort.

Makes me think about the actual floppy musicdisk I made decades ago, though, full of my Scream Tracker compositions. Sent it to a friend, lost touch with them, and discovered later than it had the only .s3m copy of one of my songs. 😬

Trying to remember if Future Crew had a musicdisk maker back then, or if I just hacked a musicdisk of theirs with my stuff. 🤔

What is socially acceptable for someone who you’ve been texting with maybe once a day, but suddenly stops reading your texts for over a week and counting

It’s legitimately possible their tech failed them entirely, or that they missed the notifications

But also, god, I don’t want to harass them! This also has a great chance of being a Me problem

I’d probably be less sensitive to this if I hadn’t had someone I really care about disappear nearly five years ago 😖 but again, that’s not their prob!

Just before a long weekend, one of my hearing aids decided it was time to go on the fritz

Saw The Baby Yoda Movie with another fan from work last night. I don’t care what any of the dorks say; I loved it. It was fun! Baby Yoda in particular was as charming, engaging, and delightful as always.

Only negative was just the weird video-gamey look that the handful of humanoid CGI characters in Star Wars movies always seem to have. Remember what Werner Herzog said, and just go practical, you cowards.
