@jascha Es geht hier nicht um Elektroschrott, man kann die Geräte u.a. mit alternativer Firmware weiterbenutzen.
Hier geht es um das Schlupfloch des alten DRM in diesen Geräten. Diese alten Geräte und ihre Anbindung an die bei Amazon erworbenen Inhalte ist die Grundlage um mit Software wie beispielsweise Calibre bzw. dessen Plugins Inhalte von Amazon von DRM zu befreien. Es gibt hierfür aktuell keine zweite Option, soweit mir bekannt ist.
