@mastodonmigration @Viss I've worked with PMs who use PowerPoint like a canvas and bullshit is their brush. They know obscure and esoteric PowerPoint tricks the way accountants know crazy Excel tricks.
One guy I know has a huge color picker bolted onto the side of every slide deck. He leaves it in because painters don't hide their palettes, now, do they?

@Viss I recently attended a talk given by a person whose slides were chalk-a-block with abstract Midjounrney slop images and not one but two different "Who I Am Not" slides at the front.
I thought "No, that's too broad. Maybe just tell us who you are."

@alice @deviantollam Rakes are fine, hooks are fine, but don't dismiss those "other" "useless" picks that come with the rest of the kit.
Every lock is different and I've had considerable success with some cheap old padlocks that opened right the hell up with one of those useless picks all the experts say belong in the trash.
Different strokes for different folks.

Eventually the newspaper vendor gets so annoyed by this behavior he stops the man and says "You come by every day and never buy a paper. Is there something specific you're looking for? Maybe I can help."
"I'm looking for an obituary," the man says.
"Oh, sir, I'm sorry, but those aren't on the front page," says the vendor.
"The one I'm looking for will be," says the man.
We need to stop making "phone app-only" services a thing.
If I can only book tickets by downloading your app and not on a normal web browser from a regular PC, I hate you.
