The democrats didn't have to play by trump's rules, but they had to dismantle the foundations he had put in place during his term. I mean, they didn't even strengthen rules to avoid another Jan 6th. Didn't protect the freedom of the press. Didn't strengthen campaign finance laws. Didn't approach voting reform. Didn't ban gerrymandering. Nothing.
Democratic politicians (as opposed to Democrat Party politicians) seem to think you defeat the other side by winning elections, but it's impossible to win all the elections. At some point you lose, and all you've got left is your systematic safeguards to keep your democracy. You must bolster the safeguards while you can, even if it might work against you in the short term.

Governments tend to just defer to “industry experts”, which basically means ‘big dumb idiot corporation that verifies their robustness via a human centipede of paid consultants
“Industry experts” that are trying to stay on the money train of government contracts, because they know that they’re not going to be held accountable when the shit hits the fan.
Best thing we could do to kerb government spending would be removing contractors from previous failed projects from the bidding process.

It’s started something on a terminal. It is assuming it’s vim, but it’s not operating like vim. I’m questioning it’s assumption. If it had fired up nano, for example, send vim sequences isn’t going to work. Seeing as it seems to be doing stuff with git too, it may not have started this editor explicitly. It will be using whatever git is configured to use.

Nowhere in the Bible is being gay defined as a sin.
I think that’s true of the new testament, but I think the old would hold male on male gay sex as a sin (i.e. “soddemy”). The act, not the state of being. I don’t think lesbianism is ever referred to.
But you’re right. The entire point is that we all sin and we all ask for forgiveness. We should all be humble to god.
Of course, it’s all bullshit, but it’s also been corrupted so much that Christians don’t even live by the lessons.

The rationale for bail out the banks previously was that the retail arms (what you and I use) were so intertwined with the commercial arms that allowing the commercial part to fail caused the loss of everyone’s money. Regulation was introduced (at least in the UK. I don’t know about elsewhere) that ring fenced the two from each other, making future bailouts unnecessary. The commercial arm would shoulder the risk of its own investments.
Doesn’t stop corrupt politicians bailing them out though.

Inference of 3D models exists. Combined with a rule deck of what the machine is capable of (i.e. so tools aren’t broken) I think you could be very close to “prompt to object” prototyping flows — if they don’t already exist.
Still might need a pair of hands to clean up.
Now, how many botched tries are people willing to to pay the material cost of, who knows?

You’re question assumes race is a real thing and not just something made up by people.
Cultures and communities are real. There’s Native American culture, Indian culture, Swedish culture and English culture. There is no “white” culture. It’s the clash of cultures than normally causes the problems we see in the world that we mislabel as “race”.

I think that’s a good observation.
Part of the problem is that all the while the stock prices stay up, those companies in the second bubble have the spending power of governments, and that in-turn inflates the first bubble.
