Just don't. Not here, not on LinkedIn, not on Soundcloud, idrc. If someone doesn't have time to read the twelve lines I wrote, then they have bigger problems than a word smusher could solve.

@adrienne I'm no defender of Proton (looking for an offroad from them, actually), but in this case, they were compelled by legal action from the Swiss government to hand over payment data. Since the payor had used a credit card that traced back to an individual, the Swiss government could find that person. And the FBI somehow (legally?) got ahold of the data from the Swiss. This circumstance is not unique to Proton - it would apply to any legally operating business with credit card customers. 🤦

@virtualbri IBM recently recognized that AI was killing its pipeline of qualified engineers and simultaneously killing the quality of its codebase, so it scaled back its AI investments and dramatically ramped up hiring of junior engineers/developers. If I had disposable income, I might consider buying IBM on the dip (as the cool kids say).
