@huxley@furry.engineer As someone who can never fathom what would be like to have a net worth of over 200k USD, i can't understand how taxing the Millionaires isnt a popular opinion. Wouldn't that be 10 years of unspent 100k/year salary? Who can do that and be expected to not pay any wealth tax? In a system with an incremental wealth tax billionaires COULD NOT exist, just matematically, they shouldn't be able to accumulate that wealth between taxing periods. And if they ARE able, without avoiding taxes, that means they have captured an important supply chain somewhere, and that should raise an alarm that more distributed action over that supply chain is needed So, personally, i agree with the slogan, it's just that the reasons are too implicit in it

@d_prieto Si vas a un cmd y haces "ipconfig", ves sólo una IP asignada? "ipconfig /release" y después "ipconfig" te debería mostrar que no hay IPs asignadas Y después "ipconfig /renew" debería tardar unos segundos y asignarte una IP, y ahí sí un "ipconfig" te debería mostrar sólo una ip, la que reservaste. Si algo de eso no coincide, capaz tenés asignada una ip secundaria en el adaptador? O tenés un cable medio roto y no está escuchando las respuestas de los chequeos de conflicto de IP 🤔

All the telemetries i see enabled are all sub-configs of other higher-level settings that are already disabled (for example, browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.telemetry = false, but browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.telemetry.privatePing.enabled = true) I think it's actually working as intended, it's just not very clear about them being sub-settings But on default firefox? Disable everything, don't take any chances to leave something enabled unintentionally @LukefromDC @Viss

@wolfpld@mastodon.gamedev.place Yep. The patchnotes are generated by an LLM via github actions. I tried to make a patch for something that i wanted to do, and realized the clusterfuck that that codebase is when i needed an api key TO BUILD.

@WastedRadiance Notepad++ didn't check the integrity of the update package, that was a security-101-first-lesson problem, solved without needing to introduce an appstore But disregarding if that threat vector is a problem for Signal or not, if people don't trust the Microslop Store, they shouldn't be using Windows anyway! It's not like they'll have exposure to _more_ threat actors, just more threat vectors for the same one @signalapp

@sanmartin@rebel.ar Tuve mi instancia unipersonal, así que no es como que haya moderado mucho en Mastodon, pero sé de qué va la interfaz y que herramientas hay. Aunque posteo poco, siempre termino scrolleando la timeline local así que estoy al tanto de las boteadas que han ocurrido, y me sumo a ponerme el overol virtual para mantener nuestra plaza virtual libre de basura virtual (-w-)7 Además: los furros son una señal de un ecosistema saludable, y no tienen mods furros hasta donde ví. Gracias por su atención :)
