Compare to the early days of Delta Chat where nothing was "safe" since it only relied on plain text emails to my knowledge.

My understanding (and experience) was specifically that delatChat was from the get go E2EE.

In a way, with E2EE you theoretically don't have to trust relays that only pass around encrypted messages.

For me that is the realm of metaData, who is communicatin with whom. Ed Snowden said that was the main interest not the details of the messages. In days of AI that part of the chessboard changed a bit but not to much.

Betrifft dann halt nur einen Nutzer. Im Gegensatz zum blockieren wird dem kaltgestellten Profil vorgetäuscht das alles normal ist. @linuzifer nennt es Abklingbecken. Das einzig erstaunliche ist das eine normal gebildete Person mit einem zumindest Standardallgemeinwissen wie @VQuaschning in unserer freien Informationsgesellschaft nichts von diesen seit über einem Jahrzehnt allgemein bekannten Praktiken weis. Auf youtube allein Filtern und zerstören Algorithmen tag täglich Millionen von Kommentaren und Gespräche in den Kommentarspalten. Sie greifen arbiträr in politische Gespräche mündiger Menschen in Wahlkampfzeiten ein und stellen Antworten einfach nicht durch. Als ob es das Briefgeheimnis nie gegeben hätte. Ohne zu tun von irgend einem Menschen. Ein Gespräch über Antisemitismus und Rassismus versandet im nichts weil eine Frage halt nicht beantwortet wurde, weil der Adressat sie nicht gesehen hat, weil sie halt nicht zugestellt wurde. Eines der Probleme das wir uns hier im Netz unter anderem aufgehalst haben sind Gemeinplaetze die sich zu Totschlagsargumenten verselbststaendigt haben die von einigen die ueberall nur Naegel sehen wie Haemmer benutzt werden. Gerade im letzten LNP (541) wurde einige Dinge erwaehnt und besprochen die just mit Perspektiven und Zusammenhaengen im Bereich Geld, Macht, Tauschmittel, Weltpolitik und so weiter und so fort zu tun haben, und die einfach nicht mal so eben unter den Teppich gekehrt werden koennen. Das hat nichts mit whataboutism zu tun.

btw Habe den Artikel nicht gelesen, denke die Umstaende sind allgemein bekannt, hoffe aber mal das neben den kriminellen Transaktion auch die nicht kriminellen beziffert werden damit das gesamte Panorama deutlich wird. Hier ein link zu den so gennanten "bitcoin ETF's" in den USA, die sind ja erst seit etwas mehr als einem Jahr(?) am Start. BlackRock und Konsorten haben es bereits auf stolze 1.293.967,00 ₿, ein wenig mehr als 5% aller aktuell in Umlauf befindlichen Bitcoins geschafft.
