@kalviter@hol.ogra.ph its been interesting seeing so many voices, including many i do really respect, shut down wilson's review as either too mean/rude (as in the article you linked, and like, does the same criticism in a different tone change it that much?) or a bad faith refusal to accept different interpretations (when the way i interpreted the review and the film was moreso a failure in execution than the aims of the interpretation themselves) i cant wrap around why people are so weird about this movie (and like i havent even mentioned the racist/transphobic haters of it, which are by far the worst)

ik im like three years late to this show, but i really freakin love how the apothecary diaries has an actual genuine depiction of food allergies. like its weird how i can't think of a single other piece of media ive seen that does that

like, allergies are something that can Literally Kill Me, so having a character scold someone over how goddamn dangerous food allergies are and what they actually look like was really cool to see imo.

@kalviter the voice samples are from episode 41 of the 70's spiderman tokusatsu series and umamusume beginning of a new era i'd say my most interesting two tracks besides this one are "patience, redeye" (which, while it maybe overstays its welcome, im pretty happy with some of the stuff near the end) and "friendly fire" (which, while chaotic and filled with friend-group-inside-jokes, was a lot of fun to make by transforming samples).

tried my hand at another breakcore track! this was something i worked on in between projects, so even if i didn't spent tooooo long on the song itself, i first started working on it ages ago. if you listen, hope you enjoy!

@kalviter tysm! the halo-as-a-light-source thing was so useful when we were shooting during night the photographer was one of my close friends from highschool (who wishes to remain anonymous). he flew over to boston for the con, and we used the opportunity to do a photoshoot while he was here what's cool is that each of us have a pretty distinct style in our photography, and you can see it in the photos. a lot of the super-wide cinematic shots were my idea, while a lot of the closer, more intimate shots were his idea

i cosplayed the angel devil from chainsaw man at anime boston this past weekend!

it was a ton of firsts for me: first time going to an anime convention, first time making a costume, first time styling a wig (and, to be honest, any kind of hair, really), first time (attempting to) put on makeup, and first time cosplaying in general!

i spent a few months (very) on-and-off (mostly off) working on the costume.... styling the wig, building the (led!) halo, building the wings, figuring out how to mount them cleanly (rip goodwill jacket and free internship backpack), and it was a really fun (and expensive.....) learning experience

will absolutely do something like this again in the future (if only to make my moneys worth on all the hair-related products i had to buy lol (but for real this was an awesome project i'm really proud of))

@kalviter kiseki is basically a very artistic umamusume (likes to draw manga, etc). bamboo memory is both highly competitive but also pretty enthusiastic and silly thanks for trying it out! (also very glad its working there are so many moving pieces i was scared everything would immediately collapse as soon as i published it lmaoooo)

ok so i've been crazy inactive on here....but this life-consuming project is finally done!

a close friend and i worked together to make the ultimate #umamusume personality quiz (slash big five personality traits test slash autism test), featuring ALL 141 main umamusume.

we spent literally two and a half months on this project, and we're really happy to have it finally released. also, we're proud to say that we didn't use any gen ai making this.
