@PeterLudemann@mathstodon.xyz yes and no. Real Kimonos are traditionally taken apart for cleaning, not all of them are. No garment should ever be washed after sewing, when fabrics haven't been pre-washed before. With vintage silk you never know, so if in doubt you opt for dry cleaning. I actually own dresses made from Vintage Kimono silk and the seamstress did mark them as dry clean only.
