Writer (software and prose), epistemologist.
Fedi user since 2019 → fedi dev → quit fedi → [you are here].

I contribute (roughly at random, my brain is too ADHDified to stick with a software project for too long) to a lot of projects, and help upkeep some of the akkoma project's infrastructure (among others).
Besides that, I do some (interesting to me but probably not to you) CS research and make random things that I find useful/interesting.
I want software to be beautiful to read, and to spark joy at runtime, a bit like (some) writing (though my prose is not that).

Assigned "Tumblr Lesbian" by my gay wife, confirmed by fedi.

Sometimes my wife (Hélène) posts on my account.

fully remote (EU) #hiring #getfedihired #jembauche Hover or focus to reveal Sensitive
it's that time again! it's time to #getfedihired (fully remote) this one's a little unusual in that it's not for a specific position : in "theory" there would be 3 job postings; a python (web; django; postgres (to be reviewed)) developer, a devops (kubernetes, github actions (migrating off of)), and a cybersecurity compliance expert (knowledge base, setting up policies, dealing with audits...) thing is though, there's definite overlap to these, and the priorities are different (there's no need for a full time cybersec person, for example) on top of that, we prefer to hire people, not robots (derogatory, robots (endearing) are encouraged to apply) that perform a single task so instead, we're hiring for people that have any or all of those skills the way it'll work is we're gonna pick the best *combination* of 2-3 hires, rather than the best cybersec person we find, the best devops we find, etc : you may be surprised, but this gives most people reading this an advantage the seniority levels are confirmed through principal, though salary ranges are only defined for confirmed and senior (40-48k for confirmed, 48-55k for senior; above that it's negotiable based on the specifics) our definitions of seniority are not based on years of experience as well, but rather observed attitude and measured skillset (we make all of this public in the job offer) main catch: you must have the right to work in France *before* applying (the company's managed to get a visa to someone before, but it was a disaster and upper management would rather not have to go through that again). this doesn't mean right to *live* in France, just the right to hold a French contract (other types of contracts are also negotiable, no problem) you must also be able to visit Paris or Grenoble as part of getting to know management, signing paperwork, etc (there's a story behind that one, but I'll only be sharing it to people I know) if you're interested, DM me with any further questions, and I'll send you the job offer link with hints on how to get through very quickly the goal is to have all 3 people picked and hired by the end of the month, which is roughly in line with how previous recruitment drives have gone with this company (in case you haven't applied to a job recently, that's roughly 10x faster than at the average employer; this is generally indicative of the internal state of the company : people-wise it's going pretty well) :boost_ok: #jembauche
