Ok this is an extremely weird flex but I’m unreasonably proud of it: can you spot the beetle in this photograph? Because I did, and went and looked, and found a wicked beetle.

Pseudoscorpion! Saved from the shower.
Pygopleurus vulpes! A bumblebee scarab beetle, and no matter how often I see these little fuzzballs I still delight in their weirdness. These are literally in our back yard, I feel incredibly lucky to have this kind of thing just forcing itself into my attention. (Northern Greece.) #beetles #insects #MacroPhotography
