@Zahlenzauberin@dresden.network @Willow@chaosfem.tw I do not sing with people for scheduling reasons. I did keep up with vocal agility exercises from when I did, but I definitely still had some losses. For the first year or so I would get stuck flipping out of head voice (it's better now but not amazing or consistent roughly 4 years in). I've fully stopped having breaks when I sing now but still experience them when speaking. I've lost my ear for my own voice, but again that's a matter of retraining that I haven't done. I have also heard of people who maintained their soprano through transition but it was done with a vocal coach so ymmv.

@Willow@chaosfem.tw I was not perimebopausal at that point, but I was older then a lot of things I've read (30) My biggest one I am confident in my voice. I am confident in how I sound when I speak. I had massive voice dysphoria with my speaking voice (I sang in a high soprano to give context) and that is gone (despite the fact that I've only dropped to low alto/high tenor)

@meluzzy Gonna be honest, the only way I've found to fix these things is the 10 second method. Most people can do just about anything for 10 seconds (outside of things that will obviously cause harm). Get up and look out the window for 10 seconds. It's gonna suck and you're gonna have to force yourself, but it's only 10 seconds and you can do that. Then you get to go back to bed. Repeat that a few times, then pick a new thing. Get up and wash your face for 10 seconds. Open a book and read for 10 seconds. This helps you build stamina, energy and momentum to get you out of the stuck point at the bottom of depression. And it sucks and it's bullshit but it's better then nothing.

@CharlotteEowyn Bearing in mind I haven't bought a real bra since the 2010s (maybe earlier), but the ex girls were bottom heavy and if my nose was pointing north my nips could be used to find east and west Lasenza used to have a bra that had gel cushioning on the outer edge of the cup to push things in and up. It almost looked like a jelly bean shape on the outer edge of the inside of the cup and it was magic. I will browse their website to see if I can remember what it was called and if it still exists The other thing that was helpful was bras with crossed straps

I'm agender but also refer to myself as transmasculine - to me it's a descriptor of the direction I'm going/the medical and social changes I have and am making - not necessarily an identity label, but a descriptor of a series of actions Obviously different for everyone, and I know lots of NBs that don't like to refer to the "direction" they're transitioning,, but that's my 2 cents. Eta- auto correct initially said "I'm a gender" when I, infact, meant the direct opposite @lda
