@samir I woke up from general anasethetic to find they also gave me local anaesthetic, so was a dribbling fool for an hour. Now the local is mostly worn off I can feel my tongue and lower teeth, which hopefully means there was no nerve damage in the process of finding out if the teeth could be removed.

@pigworker glad it's done, tbh! And luckily the cancellation appointment I got was right is at the end of GA term 2. So I've got two full weeks to recover
This morning I went in for a double lower wisdom tooth removal but the teeth were too embedded in the jaw, and the roots too close to the nerves.
Instead had a double coronectomy.
Strangely only one side of my face looks like Desperate Dan.

17 years ago I was in Chicago working and I didn't know that they dyed the river a toxic green colour for St Patrick's day. I took a picture of it and the colour was so extreme my iPhone camera went berserk and invented some bright orange colour in other parts of the image. Very sectarian of it.
Planned fire alarm testing *during working hours* is counter productive to people giving a shit about getting out the building quickly.
There has been *lots* of ocassions in my work building where the test runs for ages and people are simply waiting for it to stop, unsure if it's a for real this time or not.
