just watched my very first football game round a friends house!! it was great. lots of falling over, some tension towards the end, much more entertaining than I’d expected all round. then we walked home through streets of moping English people which is maybe the fucking funniest thing I’ve ever seen

the fact that it gets specific and wrong is what bugs me specifically. the generic 'thanks!' or 'happy to hear it' or whatever they had before was nowhere near so egregious because like that wasn't TRYING to be personal, a person could just copypaste that, whereas this is specifically trying to fake actual effort and engagement blabla we all hate AI. and I'm not saying anything you haven't heard before but also. bleuguguguh

can anyone recommend me media that deals with the *subtle* ways that racism manifests? in the queer community specifically would be great because that's what I'm zeroing in on but just in general still good

I'm writing some stuff about this but it's hard because so much of the more insidious aspects of white supremacy can be so easily viewed as NOT white supremacy that almost all my evidence for it is anecdotal - not just from me, like every non-white queer person I know - which doesn't make it invalid or not worth talking about but it's still really useful to have other illustrations of the thing to point to

greetings I’m looking for a photomanipulator to turn me into an eldritch horror (more than I am already)

a fair bit of the work will be done already with makeup and some latex prosthetics, but there’s only so far we can go irl for this particular concept

alternatively I’ll commission an artist to illustrate something from scratch, but checking to see if we can make the photoshop route work first! tag anyone relevant and if that’s you please send links to your work 🖤

it was fine! an adequate way to spend an evening. much less funny than the first. wish it had been more funny because it wasn't doing that much of anything else and the funny bits were good FURIOUS they don't pull the guys mask off when there's no reason for them not to, also why does she run back to the theatre villain reveal a bit of a let down I barely remembered this character gf has given me permission to skip scream 3 as several people have recommended so may do that. scream 3 or 4 today wish me luck

I think I'm satisfied w my analysis of this (feeling very trapped by white supremacy lately, the myriad invisible forces are manifesting as a much more obvious physical form of being trapped that's easier to imagine) but it's weird that like barely happened at times you'd think it would e.g top surgery

I actually met most of my partners very close in time so there's another 10yrs coming up next year and the year after that!! most of these will be chill but hoo boy not the one with the demon drag boy. only vague ideas of we're going to do yet but knowing both of us it'll probably end up being a whole ass theatre production we'll likely need to plan more than a year in advance and kick ourselves for making overcomplicated the entire time when we could have just had a house party

was me and my partners 10 yr anniversary today :3

we don't generally observe anniversaries and only found out today was the day we met because I was going through old journals. figured 10 years was a good enough reason to do something

so we went for a coffee and to the record shop. made lots of jokes about going for our decadely coffee but it was actually very nice

@jk I’ve noticed this as well! both broader use but also me personally, I use fewer emoji regularly. I think I also tend to use them more with people I know less? it feels less important to convey tonal context if you already know someone, as you can better trust they’ll know how to fill in the gaps, whereas that doesn’t apply so much to new people
