The plywood for Franklin’s new shell came in while I was travelling for work, so started working on cutting it all to size today! Got two replacement roof panels, a replacement rear panel, and four window frames/mounts all traced and cut out. I don’t often do much woodworking at the shop, it’s fun once in awhile.
Next week my goal is to get the new front pieces cut and make a list of all the nuts/bolts/washers we need. #choochoo
Wow, what a deal! Normally $719.96, but you’ll give it to me for only $809.96.
Oracle messing up the LHC today.
Wow, 10-12 years ago Radius Rockets were going for like $50, this one's going to close at like $400. I was in for what I considered kind of a ridiculous amount, but not for _this_ much. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/389937460769
Getting some proper network monitoring up again. Making sure all the most important services are monitored :)
Flew on an A220/CSeries for the first time on this trip, I am a fan! It’s a neat aircraft. They’re really impressively quiet too, especially for someone that’s previously spent >500,000mi of travel sitting next to JT8Ds on DC-9/MD80s.
I visited 6 different local datacentres today and said hi to a bunch of equipment I’m responsible for but that I had never seen in person. It was so much fun.
One of the weirder sets of adapter cables I’ve needed, I think.
Anyone know offhand what type this connector is? I'm sure I've seen this type of thing somewhere before but can't figure out what it is.
Update: found! @RealGene@hachyderm.io
I love that they still add fake Quindar tones to the CAPCOM transmissions just because everyone’s used to it and they ended up being useful outside of their original use case.
