Some apps don't understand that sometimes people don't have internet, or worse the internet is intermittent. Having failovers for this case is hugely important, it will get worse before it gets better. Caching (ingress and egress) helps a little, as well as telemetry, when it's opted in to And nothing helps as much as planning for what the failure states can be. Try out the app that you build without internet, turn off the internet while the app is busy. Just responding to the user of the app that the Network is out, especially when the app could failover and chooses not to, is extremely frustrating This message is brought to you by me pulling my hair out at a failing app, even tho there was internet it didn't work until I killed the app and started it again

Just visited an online PC mag on a different phone, it has a adblocker detector which swaps away from the article to a page that begs you to turn of your adblocker. Unsurprisingly, it works fine when I have all JavaScript disabled, like I have by default on my main phone #privacy #adblocker

Some months ago a friend told me that there wouldn't be any gravity for 7 seconds next Wednesday. Because I forget stuff like this I put it in my calendar.
