@dave@podcastindex.social I was speaking to a startup today who wants to get kids to scan a QR code and tell the teacher how they are feeling using pictures of fuzzy monsters... really cool idea, but we are trying to get kids off phones I thought and primary school kids really.. But they made their MVP with Claude and I asked them how they HASH the kids data and they said that don't so all the data just their in superbase for the taking - oh and their admin dashboard not password protected.

@dave@podcastindex.social @chrislw@podcastindex.social this issue isn’t can you run a LLM on your machine, it’s can the LLM remember conversation and code from 6 months ago. This is where neural network databases come in handy, but today we don’t really have that. What we have is databases that can store history but you have to have your reasoner script tell and supply the LLM with the information each time. It’s like a pre-think instead of the LLM looking automatically at the stored data overtime. It’s really difficult atm.

But I am looking only at the adoption side of it, know I think your tag is well thought through and for those who want to its a good tag, but we also have the socialInteract tag too - could it not go in there as a link? sorry just suggestions to see if we really need a new tag. Know I think its a good idea... Just asking those you know annoying dev questions.😀

@dave@podcastindex.social the scary part is I have left it running and it’s working, I can at anytime login and see it’s logs it has about 10 skills I manually coded for it and it’s using a few known MCP controllers like playwright

So basically unless you let go of the stream ffmpeg-next which is the package we use just keeps it all in memory until you drop it. That seems like a really bad way of doing audio streaming if you’re a listener.

Who else has had that problem that they knew they can solve, but it takes them doing an all nighter and recoding every single line of code.

Ok maybe not every line of code but a large majority of it.

I started at 10am yesterday and didn’t get it fixed/solved till 4:30am today.

It was nice to go to bed after I had it working.

Rust might be nice, but memory allocation and debugging needs a little work.

The bug was not my code it was how it handled hls and ffmpeg streams.

Think about that lady who posts 3000 ai podcasts each week (I think that was the number @james@bne.social would know). Do you really think it would be in her best interest to declare that show is made with ai. No because then her ad revenue would decrease and bam what’s the point of pumping out all those episodes? Sure there might be a few honest ppl.

Maybe an ai bot that scans the episode and works out if it was ai and then podpings this episode is AI. Make it a 3rd party not-for-profit that hosting providers have to support to be psp verified.
