I write books and goof off, not necessarily in that order.

The thing I love best about this art is that Jewel is wearing glitter makeup and still looks androgynous. 💖
In the story, Jewel always uses flamboyant makeup for their nonbinary looks. Because it's far-future science fiction, I didn't feel bound by 21st century USA standards of femme/masc. But I didn't expect glitter makeup=androgynous to work visually even for my own sensibilities, and I'm so pleased and impressed that Dona pulled it off. :blobaww:

@30to40olives @aizuchi yeah, I've never tried to date any man I wasn't already friends with.
When I was younger, all the spaces I hung out in were very male-dominated, so it was easy to meet straight and bi men who wanted a relationship with someone who shared their interests.

@socks@social.emisocks.com It kinda feels like anything that interacts with the Internet needs eternal maintenance?
I wouldn't assume a program I run locally would require maintenance, per se, but I also don't expect software to run forever. Like I bought a copy of Corel Photopaint in the 90s, and by the mid or late 2000s, it didn't work very well anymore. And that seemed normal to me -- I'd long since retired all the hardware that I'd originally used it with.

@davidrevoy I prefer a single image, because with multiple images I have to click on each one separately to open it. Even on mobile, I find it easy to read an entire comic as a single image. I am surprised by how many people prefer the larger single panels! Obviously I am an outlier.
Another possibility would be a single image that was one panel wide, so you scroll down to read it, as with mobile app sites like tapas and webtoon.
I'll keep reading regardless, obviously. 😊

@jeremyosborn@mastodon.art Wow, that's spectacular, especially for a "flawed" one! There's so much detail.

I boosted the "68 trillion microorganisms in a trenchcoat" toot some time ago, but it's such a classic that I couldn't help re-boosting when it came back up on my feed again.

@MicroSFF@mastodon.art @imikotoba@mastodon.scot have you ever caught yourself accidentally repeating an idea? Like you forgot that you did it once and then used it again? I know some webcomic writers who've lamented re-using a punchline without knowing it. Sometimes I've re-used the same line in different books without noticing until much later. 😐
