One of the things I'm building a conviction on is that AI is enabling this idea of "personal software". This project here is impressive in its own way, and I'm silently gasping- this is it! Just make your own stuff!
Already a while ago I connected my self-hosted Planka instance to Claude.ai and Claude Code with two new tools: Another Planka MCP and planka-cli. It feels snappy and organized to have an LLM do the bookkeeping of tickets, it's amazing.

Several neurodiverse people close to me rely on medication for their day-to-day functioning. Sometimes there are supply shortages which cause stress and ripple effects in the habits and systems we've worked so hard to build.
I'm based in Germany and found a national data source that publishes information about shortages so that we can know about them asap and act early. I've put together a basic scraper that sends me a Signal message when a shortage is updated for the medication I configured:

The repo supports more notification channels and the medication you want to track is configured in an .env file so it's somewhat private.
Is this useful? Is it too techy still? Please send it to other neurodiverse (supporting) nerds so it might help others :).

This was a Music Hackday project I collaborated on in 2011, those were fun times!
I've been running https://linkwarden.app/ myself and have been pinging a local tiny gemma3b model to auto-generate tags for every link I've saved. That works, but the model (and the prompt) are a little too permissive to my liking. I let claude figure out how to clean that up while I think about the prompt, so here's a bunch of python scripts that it came up with:

I still have ~100 tags on 5k links, so I've got some more cleaning to do, but it's a great start. Hope this helps someone!
Someone on /r/selfhosted built this utterly useless and beautiful app and I love everything about it. It's amazing to see the community fall over each other to explain, learn, complain about security and then deploy it anyway 😂.

Finally managed to delete my old Google Workspace account. Years ago I thought it’d be nifty to tie it up to my own domain. Yes of course I fell for that trap and turned into a paying customer because everything connected to it. I’ve been migrating and replacing mail, docs, calendar, cloud apis, and dns settings piece by piece and today I managed to pull the plug. Feels good man!
