@kuketzblog@social.tchncs.de Was ich beeindruckend finde, selbst Brave shields werden sowohl auf dem Desktop als auch mobil konsequent erkannt und Zugang verwehrt. Man kann nicht die Seite mit Ad-Blocking nutzen. Ich persönlich mag die "Diagramm" Funktion sehr gerne, da man anhand der Statistiken schnell tagesaktuelle Entwicklungen sehen kann.

@alice@lgbtqia.space Out of curiosity, is maybe a different approach necessary in this day and age? Maybe a system based upon recommendation: I vouch for somebody else, and the other may so, too. However, if the recommendations of one turn out to be fraudelent and/or spam, the original voucher also becomes discredited. This way, it becomes a lot harder. The downside: sign-up may become a bit harder, too. Maybe it's time to gain street credibility, no?

Bei Bluesky und X übernimmt das eine dritte, (vermeintlich) strukturiert verantwortungsvolle Organisation. Diese Aufgabe selbst zu übernehmen, oder gar einer einzelnen, fremden Person zu überlassen, für viele nicht denkbar. Dabei könnten Sie doch, ähnlich wie bei E-Mail Anbietern, eine dritte, gewinnorientierte Instanz beauftragen, sich diesem Problem anzunehmen. Oder organisiert CDU ihre Mail-Server-Infrastruktur selbst?

@anneroth Die Angesprochenen Punkte sind noch sehr wage: Zum Beispiel, bzgl. der erweiterten Befugnisse könnte ich nachvollziehen, dass der BND mehr im Ausland bspw. tun können sollte, als "nur" Daten zu sammeln, sondern bspw. auch Cyberangriffe durchführen dürfte. Wenn allerdings die Befugnisse bedeuten, Daten in Massen als Vorratsdatenspeicherung einzusetzen, bin ich klar dagegen. Bzgl. der Digitalisierung der Polizei: eine dezentrale, digitalisierte, sichere Polizeiverwaltung ist sichelich super; biometrische Überwachung powered by Palantir kann ich nicht ausstehen.

@nixCraft I wish that were true. But even not participating makes one still affected of the potential aftermath of the crash. Nobody can say, one won't be affected, if a world-wide recession (or even crisis) will be happening. Typically, the least protected and wealthy suffer the most.

@TheMorpheus Ein gelungenes Video, das auch mir neue Sichtweisen aufzeigte. Persönlich schicke ich Protest ausschließlich postalisch an Abgeordnete: diese Form der Post kann man eherblich schwerer als "Spam" abtun. Allerdings stimme ich zu, dass die zu interpretierende Instanz schlussendlich auch legitimen, stark ersichtlichen Protest mit Leichtigkeit abtun kann. Ich erinnere mich bspw. an die Mengen von Tassen, die nach Merz' Aussage in großen Mengen der CDU-Parteizentrale zugesandt worden sind. Anscheinend wird Protest erst ernst genommen, wenn man Tierdung auf Autobahnen kippt.

@schattenspringer @kuketzblog Das sind persönliche Abwägungen: ich persönlich würde mir ebenfalls GrapheneOS x Fairphone sehr wünschen, aber das scheint eher unwahrscheinlich. Bzgl. der Nachhaltigkeit kann ich nur anmerken, dass ich ausschließliche gebrauchte und damit "bereits gekaufte" Pixel Geräte wähle. Das ist ein Kompromiss, mit dem ich leben kann.

@GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social I never have been confronted with any of such content. I am not denying or doubting the existence, just sharing the experience I had. I have once given /e/OS a try in hope, it would be an open-source mobile operating system alternative with high privacy/security means while being compatible with a more-than-average "sustainable" Fairphone (well, is there any truly sustainable phone?). What drove me away, was the odd built-in VPN and the privacy tracker. In fact, I found the privacy specification with Facebook Lite already then odd.

@stux@mstdn.social I must admit, I was curious to see, whether an advanced LLM can do what I am trying to do; esp. with similar strict and explicit pointers and instructions. It turns out, the models cannot even accept the length of the request. Breaking down the task into smaller bits makes it run into rabbit holes and repeated undoings of previous decisions. It is annoying and probably to an experienced, well-versed developer an atrocity to observe. I can't definitely tell, for me, however, it is not worth it. :ablobcatcoffee:

Because on personal anecdote, I cannot recall an issue forcing a reboot in the last months regarding VPN use.

So, when seeing Google's Genie 3 world building, I, of course, enjoy thinking about building "mind-palace"-like learning software with the model while knowing the enviromental, copyright and privacy impact of Google's LL-Models. @Tutanota@mastodon.social As long as it is open-source and the business model does not contradict, it does not really matter where the team is located that develops the code: Therefore, GrapheneOS is a (I might say, the only) viable alternative mobile operating system. /e/OS' security standards seem to be lacking in some regards while SailfishOS, to my knowledge, is not open source. My pain point still is the dependency on Google Pixel phones due to hardware requirements. I had hopes for @fairphone working towards this, but it seems it has currently (if at all) no priorioty.
