@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social I have a few friends who are cops....and they don't make a lot. I'm the one who usually ends up paying for lunch. But cops have rules to follow. They can't just do whatever the fuck they want. It's about lack of education, but it's also about lack of accountability. If you don't know any better....you'll question nothing and do anything you're told. It takes NOTHING to be an ICE officer. Nothing. It's about unquestioning cruelty.

But I do want to point out, that Trump is the most incompetent President the USofA ever had and that he might simply spend more money than is availabe and ruining the state for generations to come, just show, that he can.

@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social A gov't is really just a ruling gang, which offers social services to the people in order to make itself a preferable alternative to warlordism. Education, healthcare, infrastructure is for the people, so they will do the least they can get away with. Military and law enforcement is for the government, so they will do the most they can get away with. What they can get away with is decided entirely by the people.
