#parkrun first really warm one for me this year. A decent run home the less although not as fast as last week, my regular has hills. And cake. There's cake here now.
The choice for labour is so exciting, a more charismatic front man in Burnham or a more weaselly one in Streeting or a plan B in case Burnham loses the by election on Angela Rayner. Just a stunning array of political powerhouses, intellectual might and core values of the McSweeny right wing and LFI.
#ukpolitics lol. MPs vote against inquiry into Starmer misleading the house. Was always the likely outcome as the labour whips have final say on the loaning out of backbone to backbench MPs. It does of course give every other party the week until the local, Scottish and Welsh elections the chance to say "labour covering up for the Epstein class" and I expect them to say variations of that a lot.

@Wen Yeah it's the "AI is magic and knows better than you so pay the subscription" hype but then I've developed a streak of cynicism towards running industry products (and the vast marketing as content reservoir of YouTube and podcasts) - it's the most elemental and simple possible sport/exercise and you "need" none of it beyond shoes that fit properly and some bounce.

@Wen I've used the Garmin app training plans with some success but having the awareness to say "no, not doing that" is essential with these things. AI does not know better than you do what you're capable of and if your knee/ankle/calf/hip/hamstring/Achilles - I remember Strava punting a free trial of their premium features and found the "AI insights" thing utterly moronic.

#parkrun fastest time this year klaxon! Ok, it's still well off before my knee troubles times but it's encouraging. A consistent injury free spring and summer I might even take on an autumn half.
