@nixCraft@mastodon.social TBF, that’s just the good-first-issue category. People flooding it with lots of “hey I let the AI fix all the typos in comments” patches just defeats the purpose and robs actual human contributors of opportunity. This says nothing about AI usage in more serious parts of the kernel. It’s not about AI patches being bad, it’s about AI doing tasks that were left deliberate unresolved for newbies to take on.

Das ist ein Narrativ, das Putin uns gerne erzählt, um maximale Politikverdrossenheit zu erzeugen. Man muss das nicht alles gut finden, man kann die Politiker gerne kritisieren, aber Robert Habeck ist kein Christian Dürr und auch kein Jens Spahn, keine Katherina Reiche und auch kein Björn Höcke. Es gibt Unterschiede. Lassen wir uns hier nichts einreden.

@anneroth Es gibt wirklich keine Partei, bei der ich nicht mit mindestens einigen Themen eine fundamental andere Meinung habe. Trotzdem versuche ich, nicht in zynische Verallgemeinerung zu verfallen, weil ich nur mit den anderen 80% der Themen mitgehen kann. Ja, das Bashing trifft im Moment vor allem die Grünen. Das wird die Linken irgendwann aber genauso treffen und dann laufen die Leute zu irgendeiner anderen Partei, die dann die bessere Linke sein will.

@anneroth Und das ist gut und man kann und soll das kritisieren. Aber man kann das auch konstruktiv tun, ohne direkt in Fundamentalopposition zu gehen. Ich will das nicht direkt auf dich beziehen, aber mir fällt das unangenehm häufig bei vielen Leuten auf, die genau solche Aussagen posten. Am Ende führt das immer nur dazu, dass nur noch “sonstige” oder gar nicht mehr gewählt wird, weil moralische Reinheit anscheinend doch wichtiger ist, als kompromissbasiert wirklich Dinge zu verändern.

@anneroth Können wir bitte aufhören, uns links der Mitte gegeneinander auszuspielen? “Mehr Befugnisse” kann man sachlich kritisieren und man kann vielleicht auch den Rest des Interviews als Kontext nehmen. Oder man kann es als “Crazy shit” bezeichnen, die Grünen die neue CDU nennen etc. und dann zugucken, wie die Rechten, denen solche moralischen Fragen völlig egal sind, Wahlen gewinnen, weil wir allein dastehen und lieber auf uns selbst rumhacken.

If your panels cannot fill the entire battery, you fill the rest with cheap energy from the grid (requires a variable energy tariff, of course). Such a setup should usually amortise within a few years. But 4.4kWp is already quite massive. That's not a plug-in panel for your balcony I suppose.

@Edent@mastodon.social @OneInterestingFact@mastodon.ie Plug-in solar is usually not enough that feeding into the grid is actually worth it (mostly depends on how many forms you have to fill, but you are usually also not paid enough). The main reason you want to have a solar panel on your balcony is to cover your own consumption. Add battery storage to it and you can be quite independent of the grid for a large part of the year.

Aber wenn man das als erwachsener Mann macht, ist man schnell bei der Frage, warum die Opfer sich nicht einfach gewehrt haben.

@nikitonsky@mastodon.online I disagree with the premise: Highlighting is not for making things stand out. It's for distinguishing different lexemes. I don't need function names or "retunr" misspellings to stand out. That's what other highlighting layers are for, such as fold markers and linter error squiggly lines. I need to see whether something is a type name, a variable name, a function name, or a keyword, especially in syntactically complex languages such as Rust or C++.
