@Viss@mastodon.social @bagder@mastodon.social In the Mythos Preview paper they describe how Mythos developed 181 working exploits for the Firefox JS engine and there is a footnote at the end saying how this is in a testing harness without the process sandbox or other defense in depth mitigations. Having that nuance in a footnote feels disingenuous to me.

@kelidanovus When we had a three day power cut I went one step further and disconnected our oil central heating from the mains and connected it to the car. It worked great and kept us toasty warm. When the car battery got low I just popped out to the local rapid charger to top up. It was amazing. I want to swap to a heat pump which might ruin this for the future but for now it was great.

Curious. I sort of look forward to the day it happen now. Unasked for tip... if you have an air fryer to finish them off for about 8 minutes they are even nicer.

@pducklin I rarely look at linkedin because of all the noise. Everyone has an angle and it just doesn't suit me. Here I like that there is no algorithm. You just read some posts and then you're all caught up and you naturally step away and do something else. It feels like a newsgroup. It's very satisfying and like the internet used to be. I look at Facebook now and think "where do i see the posts in order" how can such basic functionality be missing?.... Oh yeah. Money. That's why.

@sellathechemist @rozeboosje I listened to David Cebon a few years ago and he made it clear that H2 was actually a good way for fossil fuel companies to sell even more gas since the process of converting to H2 throws away a bunch of the energy.
